Ingredients

  • 125 g flour
  • 125 g shelled almond kernels
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 90 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 150 g cold butter (in pieces)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 100 g chopped almond kernels
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Make a shortcrust dough from the listed ingredients. Shape into a ball, wrap in foil and refrigerate for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 180°C with upper and lower heat. On a floured surface roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm and cut rings (4 cm outer diameter, 1 cm inner diameter).

    Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Whisk the egg yolk with 2 tbsp water, brush the rings, and sprinkle with chopped almonds. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. Let cool and dust with powdered sugar.
